Which woman was not the wife of The Prophet(sallahu alayhee wa salam)?

Accompanying the righteous (from the Salaf)

One of them said; accompanying the righteous people gives rise to the righteousness in the heart.
Ahmad ibn Harb (raheemullah) said; “There is nothing more beneficial to a Muslim’s heart than to mix with the righteous and to watch their actions, while nothing is more harmful to the heart than mixing with the sinners and watching their actions.

A Ramadan Question

Question: Are there any supporting hadith for breaking the fast with dates or water? If not, then a person who breaks their fast with dates will not receive a greater reward than the one who uses other than dates. Afeeduna barakAllaahu feekum.
Answer: The hadith that is mentioned about breaking the fast with dates or water is the hadith of ‘Aishah. She said thatthe Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم used to break fast with rutab – fresh dates and if he didn’t find rutabaat then he broke his fast on tamaraat which is ripe dates and if he didn’t find rutab or tamr then he took some water and then went for prayer.[19] And there is a hadith where the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم mentioned about dates that “it is the best food that a person eats”[20] and he صلى الله عليه وسلم said about Suhoor (morning meal before fasting):
نعم سحور المؤمن التمر“The best sahoor for the believer is date”.

Can the Menstrating women touch the Quran?

Sheikh Al Alaamah Muqbil Ibn Haadee AlWaadi'ee was asked:

Question:Is it permissible for the menstruating women to touch the Qur'aan?

Answer:There is no problem in this due to there being no proof showing the impermissibility of this, as for the Hadeeth (the Qur'aan shouldnt be touched except by the one that is Dhaahir (pure) )1then Imaam Shawkaanee said:what is meant by pure in this Hadeeth is the Mu'min (the believer), due to the proof the Prophet said (Verily the Muslim doesnt become impure)2 and the Prophet (prohibted travelling with the Qur'aan to the lands of the enemy)31Haakim and Bayhaqee and Sheikh Albaanee graded it to be saheeh2Bukhaaree and Muslim narrated by Abu Hurairah3bukhaaree and Muslim narrated by Ibn OmarFataawaa Mar'atil Muslimah page 91Translated by the brother Umar Abu Shui'ayb

Ramadhan Muslims

Abdul Azeez bin Baz (may Allah rest him in paradise)1420

Question: There is a saying which goes” The people who only know Allah in Ramadan will not be successful.” Is this a hadeeth?

Answer: This is a saying from some of the pious predecessors about people who worship Allah attentively in Ramadan. And when Ramadan finishes they stop. Therefore he said,” How miserable is the person who only knows Allah during Ramadan.” This statement is correct for the person that abandons obligations (outside of Ramadan). This saying doesn’t refer to the person who doesn’t continue to practice the sunnan acts outside of Ramadan. This is a correct statement. The intended meaning here refers to people who practice Allah’s rights temporarily. They pray in Ramadan and in the other eleven months of the year they don’t. This kind of person is pitiful; as he disbelieves in Allah with these kinds of actions. To willfully abandon the prayer is disbelief. We ask Allah for pardon. Now on the other hand to stop practicing some of the recommended deeds outside of Ramadan is harmless. This is because during Ramadan people strive with their upmost ability to perform various sunnan acts of worship along with voluntary contributions and so forth. Hence if he falls short in doing these acts after Ramadan we don’t consider him a wretched person.

Calling the people to Allah

Question:What should be the qualities of one who invites to Allah?

Answer:He should be diligent in seeking knowledge, and struggle in being aware of the shari'ah proofs. He should expand all of his energies in calling the people to singling out Allah in worship, following His Shariah, abiding by His orders and prohibitions, with his entire self, struggling to bring about the judgements of the Shariah untill he reaches the rank of those who invite to Allah Almighty in his speech, actions, conduct, and character. Indeed With Allah is the facilitation to do what is right.

What I witness on Thursday…a cow!

My family and I were walking to the Masjid for our daily classes and outside was a crowd of people mainly children.I wondering what was taking place. Then I hear moo-moo it’s a cow! Now normally coming from America you only see cats and dogs on the street. Most animals such as cows & sheep are placed at a farm. If there is other animals you would be interested in seeing you would visit your local Zoo. Anyhow my kids were excited because they had never witness a big beautiful brown cow up close. Mash Allah! They just became use to seeing a flock of sheep and lamb eating and drinking. Well All I could think of is Allah is the Creator of everything and then a steak wouldn’t be bad either. All this is to say that it’s a nitmah to eat everything that is Halal and not worry if the animal is slaughtered in the name of other than your Lord. Or if it’s being treated cruel in anyway. Because, this is what Allah forbids in Surah Al-Ma’idah (5:3)
Needless to say the cow was slaughtered in a manner which was Halal . There were no other animals around to instill fear in. The cow itself was calm and I believe had no clue of what was going to take place. So, the next time you are in the market … stop to think where your meat came from and how was it handled. It would be best to take the extra trip to the Halal market and eat what is correct.

What do some of the scholars say about Dammaj

The honourable ascetic Shaikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhaab al Banna(hafidhahullah)A questioner asked: Is it not as some of the people say that they (the students of Dammaaj) have changed and replaced (the good) after the death of Shaikh Muqbil?

The Shaikh answered: By Allah I don't know what to say. By Allah I don't know what to say. I mean right now the best place if you want to learn the true salafiyyah with knowledge and action is Dammaaj; I swear by Allah. The penniless cheaters ['al khawaan al muflisoon'which is a play of words on "al ikhwan al muslimoon" - (the muslim brotherhood] have entered Makkah and spoilt it, by Allah. So the one who wants to learn the correct salafiyyah with action (then it is) in Dammaaj. Then the shaikh said, "By Allah they are the best of people now."(This was recorded a few months before Ramadan 1429
